Here’s
the Deal:
Participants get to interact closely with North
America’s foremost social designer while learning to
construct a quick, solid, round
shelter. In addition to instructing during work, Dr.
Coperthwaite will
present evening and afternoon seminars at a South Austin charter school
and on
public radio. He’ll also autograph copies of his book, A Handmade Life.
Folks with
all skill levels are warmly encouraged to
take part. You can sign up for single days at $50 per day or the full
experience
for $325. Scholarships will be gifted on a case-by-case basis. One-day
workers
get one free night of camping in the finished Yurts; whole-workshop
enrollees receive
two free weekends in the Yurts.
We’ll be
in the shop at the Center for Maximum Potential Building Systems
(Max’s Pot)
from 9 to 5 most days. Space is limited there, but not at the
construction
site.
